Scott Leslie is an educational technology researcher and emerging technology analyst. He currently works as the Manager of the BCcampus Learning Resources Centre, a multi-disciplinary ‘open content’ repository. In addition, he researches course management systems, repository and eportfolio software with Dr. Bruce Landon as part of the Western Cooperative on Educational Telecommunications’ (WCET) Edutools.info<\/a> team.
\n<\/p>\n

Previously, Scott was the research coordinator for educational technology at the Centre for Curriculum, Transfer and Technology (C2T2), a post-secondary system agency in British Columbia, Canada. Mr. Leslie was also the webmaster at both Mount Royal College<\/a> and The Banff Centre for Continuing Education<\/a>, and an instructor for the PanCanadian EdTech Summer Institute<\/a>. He holds a combined honors BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario, and a MA in Critical and Cultural Theory from the University of Wales, College Cardiff<\/a>. His thesis was on post-structuralist narrative, cyberspace and the death-drive within William Gibson’s Neuromancer,<\/em> and this along with some other kooky stuff eventually got him a job doing visualizations of complex knowledge systems, working with Lotus Notes and building Internet services.<\/p>\n

Scott lives in Victoria, B.C. with his wife Sian, and their two kids, Calum (5)and Kaya (2 1\/2). When he’s not overwhelmed by running his own business and taking care of two young kids, Scott enjoys playing bass guitar, running, gardening and reading on a multitude of topics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
